Some of the requirements in ISO include:

  • A set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business.
  • Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective.
  • Keeping adequate records;
  • Checking finished goods for defects, with appropriate corrective action where necessary.
  • Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness.
  • Facilitating continual improvement.

HACCP - Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points

Is a management system for food safety. HACCP is used in the food industry to identify potential food safety hazards, so that key actions, known as Critical Control Points (CCP's) can be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of the hazards being realized.
